"Kingfisher" Tiny House
Over the years we've found many clients drawn to layouts similar to the Kingfisher. Each has tweaked it to suit their needs. It is such a flexible and open plan design that suits a wide range of people. The cedar cladding really complements the gunmetal grey vinyl cladding. It's a stunning tiny house, so make sure you check out the video tour below. This model is going to be completely off-grid in its seaside location. On the roof are 6 x Trina 270w Honey Poly Module panels. A storage box over the tow bar stores the inverter and 4 x C&D 12V 192Ah c20 FT Lead Carbon Cyclic Batteries that will power the home. A new feature in this home (requested by the client) was a folding shelf in the bathroom above the toilet. This can be lifted up to store clean clothes etc while showering. The bookshelves and lift-up cubby storage in the loft are super practical, as is the tall wardrobe, and walking platform which allows you to stand comfortably in the loft. The Kingfisher is heading to a beach north of Auckland to become a tiny holiday home. The property already has a cabin onsite to accommodate larger groups of friends and family. The tiny bach will be a beautiful addition to the property. Before it's delivered to the clients we're lucky enough to be exhibiting it at the 2019 Auckland Home Show at the ASB showgrounds, so if you're in the area from the 4th to the 8th of September come and see it in person!
