"iBot" Tiny House
This family came to us with a vision for a simple, yet modern off-grid solar bach to put on their family farm. With two young kids, one of the main priorities was making the loft spaces secure, so we designed and built full height pine barriers for the lofts, and added baby gates over the entrances, making the space safe for rest and play. Another special feature of this build was not one but two showers, one inside and one outside, heated with an instant gas hot water system. Because the tiny house was headed off to a beachy location - an outdoor shower was a must to keep as much sand and farm muck out as possible. Delivered just in time for Xmas 2018, the family loved it so much they are in the process of getting a second one built as an extension, so watch this space. In order to maximise the size of the build, some of the heavier items were designed to be removed for travel on the road - this is the case for most of our bigger tiny homes, but particularly those with a solar panel array. With all these items removed, we managed to get the build down to 3499kg for transport.
