COVID-19 Workshop Visitors Policy
Covid Protection framework

Please wear a face covering.png

Build Tiny welcomes our clients and members of the public to make appointments to visit our workshop during the Green and Orange traffic light settings under the Covid 19 Protection Framework.

In order to protect our staff and business, we are not able to accept visitors during business hours in the red setting. However we are open on alternate Saturdays during the red setting.  During these visits, guests are able to see completed tiny homes, tiny homes under construction, and to talk to us about designing and purchasing a tiny house.

Due to COVID-19 we have had to implement the following policies to reduce the risk of the transition of the virus in our workplace. Therefore we will require that guests to our workshop follow this guidance. Our visitor policy will be in constant review as we deal with developments in the levels of risk, and changes to government guidelines.

Visit times under the 'green' and 'orange' setting

We're not able to accommodate walk in / unscheduled visits under any setting. You must either book on our website, or call to make a booking (07 549 2864)

  • We have two time slots available per day, 5 days a week:
    10am and 1:30pm daily (1pm on Fridays)

These are the only times available, as this is when our staff take breaks and the workshop stops operating. Visitors are not permitted on the workshop floor when the workshop is operating so make sure you arrive on time to make the most of your scheduled visit

This policy means guests only interact with one member of staff (your guide), which reduces the risk of transmission

  • Our workshop is also open for bookings every second Saturday at 9:30 and 10:30am – as the workshop is not operating at these times

Visit times under the 'red' setting

We're not able to accommodate walk in / unscheduled visits under any setting. You must either book on our website, or call to make a booking (07 549 2864)

  • We're open for visits on alternate Saturdays (excluding long weekends) from 9am to 2pm.

What you need to know before your visit

We do not require guests to have a vaccine pass, however everyone visiting us must:

  • If you're feeling unwell, please don't come, simply call and reschedule your visit

  • Wear a face covering at all times

  • Sanitise your hands on entry and exit to our workshop (sanitiser will be provided)

  • Sign in to our visitors register, and the NZ COVID Tracer app

  • Arrive on time: This is important so you can make the most of your visit. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not be able to enter our workshop space as there will not be enough time to complete the tour before the workshop begins operating again. However a team member can meet with you outside the workshop to discuss your needs.

  • Wear closed footwear

  • Follow the instruction of your guide at all times, do not separate yourself from your guide, as you must be accompanied whilst in our workshop at all times
