Carterton really turned it on for the Tiny House and Alternative Living Conference this past Saturday. The trip doubled as an opportunity to deliver our latest completed tiny house to its new very happy owners.

When asked to speak at the conference we were unsure if we would have a completed tiny house ready in time to bring with us to display. The pressure was on to get TinyVille done in time. The boys and many subbies knuckled down and worked some long hours. With only a day to spare the tiny house was finished, packed up and cleaned ready for the long two day drive to Carterton via Hunterville.

Once at the conference venue, TinyVille was positioned and staged in a joint effort by the Build Tiny team and its owners Rodney and Shirley. It was then that they got to see their completed tiny house for the first time and man were they ecstatic with hugs and compliments galore. Many curious visitors toured the tiny house over the day. Here is a link to a video.

Gina and Jason were among many engaging speakers that spoke about their experiences and journey in the tiny house and alternative living movement. With 290+ attendees packed into the Carterton Event Centre, it was no doubt a successful event. Here is a link to Build Tiny's presentation. The presentation was also recorded and this will be available to view in the near future. During the conference attendees were invited to enter three prizes draws. The first was two nights stay in either the Millennial or Boomer tiny house, the second two nights stay in the TinyVille tiny house, and the third was 20hrs of custom tiny house design by Gina. At the conclusion of the speakers the winners were drawn.
Congratulations to:
Tracey Thomson who won two nights in the Milleinal or Boomer
Jane Bura who won two nights in the TinyVille
Di Webster who won 20hrs of customer design
Following the speakers there was a Q&A session where those with question could ask the panel of speakers. No doubt those who attended gained a great deal from the experience. For those who missed out or want to attend again, you can preregister for the upcoming Auckland event here. As Hampton Downs will be the venue for conference in 2019. I'm sure we will be there with our latest master piece.

With the conference wrapped up we hit the road, with TinyVille in tow as we carefully manoeuvred the Rimutakas. Arriving safely at its final location, the most gorgeous spot right on Waikawa Beach. What a prefect holiday location between Otaki and Levin, just an hour north of Wellington. Its owner Rodney and Shirley have made the decision to list the tiny house on Air BnB and share it with the world. It is absolutely beautiful there and another location for you to visit a tiny house built by Build Tiny. There is also a three bedroom bach called InterVille on the same property so if you want to travel with friends or extended family there is other accommodation options available. Here you can check InterVille
or TinyVille
